Welcome to
We provide in-depth training in building plan review based on the International Building Code (IBC) and International Residential Code (IRC). Our mission is to equip professionals with the knowledge and practical skills needed to confidently evaluate construction documents for code compliance.
Our Courses
Our courses are designed to provide a practical and comprehensive learning experience in building plan review. Each course is structured around four key components that help you understand the code, apply it to real drawings, and evaluate your progress.
The Program
"A reliable plan review is never accidental - it is the result of disciplined thinking, systematic evaluation and the confidence to enforce the code with clarity."
This program focuses on the structural plan review of wood-framed residential structures based on the conventional construction provisions of the 2024 International Residential Code (IRC). The training is built around a disciplined methodology that teaches reviewers how to distill complex drawing sets into essential structural elements and systematically verify code compliance.
The program is organized into four integrated modules approved by the ICC to provide continuing education units (CEUs) under the Preferred Provider Program. You may enroll in the complete bundle or access each module individually, depending on your professional goals and training needs.
IMPORTANT: Plan reviewers are routinely responsible for evaluating drawings prepared by designers with varying levels of experience, layout styles, and design clarity. This program provides a structured framework for navigating that variability and preparing clear, enforceable plan review comments that support efficient and consistent code compliance.
You can access the program by enrolling in the bundle offer (button below) or enrolling in each module individually.
